Our goal is to provide diagnosis and treatment to help alleviate pain, improve joint function and your quality of life after every visit.
Our treatment approach combines oral, subcutaneous, and infusible medications along with physical therapy, joint injections, diagnostic ultrasonography.
We are located mid-way between Austin and San Antonio. Our patient base extends west to Dripping Springs and Wimberley and east to Bastrop, Gonzales, Seguin, Luling, and Lockhart.
Meet Dr. Maria De Jesus Salinas, Rheumatologist
Dr. Maria De Jesus Salinas is a board-certified rheumatologist and proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, where she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas-Pan American, now known as UTRGV. She went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
During her training, Dr. Salinas joined the United States Air Force and completed both her Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium, located at Brooke Army Medical Center. She has honorably served as a staff physician in internal medicine and rheumatology, and was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Spartan Shield, and Operation Inherent Resolve.
In September 2024, Dr. Salinas joined ACCT and is now the proud owner of the practice. She brings a fresh perspective to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic diseases, along with a strong commitment to innovation and continued service to the community that ACCT has supported for over a decade.
Dr. Salinas is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients. She believes that mutual trust and respect are essential to improving outcomes in the management of complex rheumatologic conditions.

Meet Samantha Gomes, Physician Assistant
Samantha Gomes, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered rheumatologic care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in Public Health, graduating with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin, before obtaining her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Towson University/Community College of Baltimore County Physician Assistant Program.
Samantha’s journey into rheumatology began in 2017 while working as a medical assistant, where she developed a strong interest in caring for patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Since becoming a Physician Assistant in 2022, she has worked alongside several respected rheumatologists throughout the Houston and Dallas areas, gaining extensive experience in the evaluation and management of a wide range of rheumatologic diseases.
In July 2026, Samantha joined ACCT and is committed to delivering evidence-based, individualized care while helping patients better understand and manage their conditions. She believes that patient education, open communication, and shared decision-making are essential to achieving the best possible outcomes and strives to build trusting, long-term relationships with every patient she serves.
Samantha is an active member of the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers (RAPP) organization and the Association of Women in Rheumatology (AWIR), allowing her to stay current with the latest advancements in rheumatologic care.
Outside of the clinic, Samantha enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new cuisines, cooking, staying active through weightlifting, and pursuing creative interests such as art and learning about different cultures and languages.
